Job Description

Infoserve Group plc, the leading online UK business directory and marketing solutions provider is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to assist with their increased growth and product development strategy.

This is an exciting and rewarding position reporting to the Operations Director and serving as a member of the Senior Management Team. This position's primary responsibility is leadership of the business’ operational functions, including technical, IT and software development. The role will also interact with the Board of Directors of the Group.

The successful candidate will:-

• €¢Manage the day-to-day functions of the Operations Department which comprise:- Software Development, Design, Data, Production and IT

• €¢Prepare project plans and deliver to agreed timescales

• €¢Control the company’s online inventory of websites

• €¢Provide good leadership and communication skills in order to ensure timely delivery of projects

• €¢Promote a work environment that engenders positive energy, creativity and teamwork among employees

• €¢Be responsible for hiring team members as well as supervising and evaluating employees’ job performance by establishing objectives, PDP’s and KPI’s

• €¢Improve the operational systems and processes to provide greater work flow efficiency and better management reporting

Qualifications;

• At least 3 years experience in Technical Management

• €¢Background and work experience in an online environment

• €¢Proficient in web technologies

• €¢Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style

• €¢Commitment to high professional ethical standards

• €¢Persuasive with details and facts and able to delegate responsibilities effectively

There is a high reliance on delivery to agreed timescales in this role, and the candidate will be expected to show examples of successful project delivery to agreed timescales in a previous environment.

The successful candidate will be based at the Group Head Office in Leeds and enjoy a good salary package in the region of £40 – 45k per annum plus additional benefits, although each applicant will be treated on their own merits and experience.
